The nearest airports are Glasgow International Airport, approximately 2½ hours drive and Glasgow Prestwick Airport, approximately 3½ drive from the south and Inverness Airport, approximately 3 hours drive from the north.

By Train
The nearest train station is in Oban, and all trains set off to Oban from Glasgow Queen Street station. There is also an overnight sleeper service from London Euston to Fort William. Train information can be found here »

Again, the nearest coach station is Oban, and coaches leave for Oban from Glasgow. Onward travel to Dallachulish House from Oban is possible by bus, on service 918. Coaches and buses are run by Scottish Citylink.

Shopping and Eating Out
Oban and the surrounding areas are well served with shops and places to eat. Oban itself has the widest choice; you could try The Waterfront or Eeusk for seafood, or next to Eeusk is Piazza (01631 563628) which serves pizzas and pasta. Cafe 41 ( 01631 564117) is a small but perfectly formed place to eat, slightly hidden away therefore mostly frequented by locals. The Waterfront Bar is the place to go for great pub grub, or you could try one of the three Indian restaurants, the Chinese restaurant or one of the three fish and chip shops! Try The Kitchen Garden for wonderful lunches, and evening meals during the summer.
Connel has The Oyster Inn which is very family friendly or there is The Taynuilt Hotel in Taynuilt.
As for shopping; there are four large supermarkets in Oban as well as a few chain high street shops and boutique clothes shops, butchers, fish shops and plenty of opportunities to buy souvenirs! Oban also has a fine selection of pubs and hostelries.
