A short distance from the A828 on the quiet loop road around the Loch we are idealy situated to allow you to expore by walking, cycling or by car. Only 14 miles from Oban, 30 miles from Fort William and with so much just on your doorstep like the shore below the site with fascinating marine plant and wild life.

Well placed for walking, cycling, canoeing and fishing directly from the Dallachulish.

Port Appin and the ferry to Lismore is only 6 miles away with cycle route 78 going all the way there.

Visit the bustling port of Oban and take a trip to Fort William and Ben Nevis.

Oban

The area around Oban is rich with attraction for tourists, from the dramatic scenery of the coast and mountains to the fascinating histories of local castles and ancient religious sites.
The town is an important ferry port being the ‘Gateway to The Isles’ with ferries serving all of the Small Isles, Inner and Outer Hebrides.
Oban distillery, nestling beneath the steep cliff that overlooks Oban, is one of Scotland’s oldest sources of single malt scotch whisky and is but a stone’s throw from the sea.
High over Oban is the distinctive McCaig’s Tower Built in 1897 by local banker John Stuart McCaig, the climb to the Tower is well worth the effort when faced with the spectacular views across Oban Bay to the Atlantic Islands.

Our site is on a small working farm on a well maintained area with no busy farm buildings to cause you problems. The access roads are easy for any vehicles. We are happy to accept families with children and well behaved pets. All pitches are hardstanding and have a 16amp hookup and WiFi is free. Of course we have drinking water and a modern chemical disposal point on site.

Loch Creran, a sea loch and a Marine Special Area of Conservation, was only 12,000 years ago occupied by a glacier. A Loch Creran Guide can be downloaded from Argyll & Bute Council here.

Cycle Route 78 passes below our site on the Loch Creran Loop. This route heads South to Oban and North towards Fort William with some work having been completed recently. This is also, of course, designed for walking. Hill walks and cycle routes are also available at nearby Sutherlands Grove. There are small, quiet roads in the area that help to make a circular tour.
